Our #2475 FLAT SIDE DENT BALL SET offers a new unique shape that is designed to help expand the technician's arsenal of tools for removing dents from small and medium bore brass instrument slide crooks and pipes. The narrow profile makes this shape especially effective for raking or pushing up dents while the slightly radiused edge is a good aid for focusing in on sharp dents. Another unique feature is that the radius of each ball's working surface remains constant throughout all diameter sizes providing a broad radius helpful for pecking out dents with a hammer. This feature, combined with the small 0.005" (0.13mm) diameter size graduations makes this set of 30 balls an excellent item for achieving a smooth finish. Precision machined and finished using corrosion resistant magnetic stainless steel. This type of stainless steel allows use of a magnet to assist in locating balls inside the pipe.
